| MIJI June 19th 17:30~18:30 |
Fusion gugak group MIJI was formed as a part of a traditional art digital content developing project sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. MIJI introduces the Korean traditional music, Gugak, to people in a new way that is not hindered by the limits of the current music industry.
80% of the group's debuting album is composed of original compositions that combine gugak and classical music while the remaining 20% consists of ballads and traditional gugak music.
MIJI brings classical elegance as well as a certain girl group charm to its fans. |

| Jeong Min-a & Suh Yeong-do June 19th 17:30~18:30 |
In the clubs near Hongik University where vibrant rock music rules, Jeong Min-a performed on stage for years with only her gayageum at her side. She will be performing her own fusion music, in which her striking lyrics, soft voice and the sounds of her enhanced gayageum (from traditional 12 strings to 25 strings) harmoniously come together.
In her recent album, she included the sounds of a bass guitar, introducing an exquisite mix of sounds from the traditional Korean instrument and popular Western instrument. The bass guitarist, Suh Yeong-do, is one of the best bass guitarists in Korea, active in various music genres. He played both fretless and acoustic bass guitars on the album and presented a surprisingly harmonious mixing of sounds with the gayageum.
Much loved by Korean music fans, the duo became the first traditional music artists to be nominated for the Best New Artist Award at the 5th Korean Music Awards. They were also nominated for Best Jazz and Crossover Music.

| Bulsaechul June 20th 16:30~18:00 |
Bulsaechul is a Korean word meaning an extraordinary genius. Formed by alumni and current students at Korea National University of Arts, this group offers a traditionally accurate yet modern Korean music.
Their traditional music emphasizes the sounds of traditional Korean musical instruments and is not influenced by Western or pop music. A unanimous vote at the 2008 Indie Gugak Concert sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism won this group an opportunity to produce their own album. This garnered the interest of the traditional music industry. They went on to win the Arirang Award at the 21 Century Korean Music Project Awards sponsored by Gugak FM. |

| Geomungo Factory June 20th 16:30~18:00 |
This geomungo ensemble was formed to introduce the value and beauty of the geomungo to others. They lead the effort to make the geomungo a popular instrument in Korea by trying new techniques and making improvements on the instrument itself.
Geomungo Factory has produced new instruments such as the damhyeongeum, the cello geomungo, the xylophone geomungo and the electric geomungo and has performed various music genres such as tango, hip hop and rock on the geomungo. They have also released a new album that restores sanjos performed by master geomungo players of old as a part of efforts to rediscover traditional geomungo music and continue that spirit. Through these efforts they are continuing to expand the limits of traditional Korean music. |

| Cheongbae Troupe June 20th 16:30~18:00 |
Traditional performances in Korea have been handed down through the generations along with the living environment, culture and religious rituals. Over the years, traditional performances have taken on many forms and finally become what they are today.
To turn our traditional performance into a world-class form of art and to continue the spirit of performance that has been passed down to us from our ancestors, young performance artists have gathered together to form the Cheongbae Troupe.
The troupe aims to create a traditional format-based performance in which both the performers and the audience can come together and enjoy themselves. As the successors of traditional Korean performance, they plan to recreate the traditional performance into an art that can survive the passage of time and is acknowledged by all generations, and turn the name of their troupe into a globally famous culture brand. |
